I recommend that, if you are written up for a reason that you feel is unjust, that you ask for a copy of the writeup "for your attorney", and then ask for the phone number of B & N's corporate attorneys... I did this once, and the manager doing the write-up did a double-take... he still placed it in the file, but I think he was VERY worried thereafter...
