Strange things have happened at our store with long time employees. Suddenly some long time employees, with great register track records, are suddenly finding they are missing cash at the end of a shift. So they are written up. And other measures to make them "frustrated" so they quit or develop a bad attitude and are forced out. We are hiring more and more "unloyal" people, and our customer service has really suffered. Also - 7.0 really sucks. It's not at all user friendly. Our managers even hate it. Our special orders person has already written a long letter to the powers that be. The web designers have obviously never worked in one of our stores. I do like the media and Oprah features though. Those are helpful! PLEASE keep those for 7.1!!!
: Long time employees watch out for writeups designed to make it easier to get rid of you. I feel like they are looking to get rid of people who they think are earning too much to improve their bottom line and replace them with newer cheaper people. It really makes me sick that loyalty counts for nothing. We are all so overloaded with work, that it is easy to target anyone you want to with anything not done and say that they need to go. That is the whole point of TOPS, an idiot proof system that anyone off the street can manage and not need any special training. How does everyone else feel about the Bookmaster 7.0 update??? Is is not harder to use?
