The store where I work gives a full time bookseller 30 min. for lunch and a 15 break in the morning and another 15 min. break in the afternoon. We are allowed to use it anyway we see fit, such as a morning break and a 45 min. lunch or a 1 hour lunch or the 2 breaks and lunch. We just tell the manager how we want to do it. I think if you work 5 hours you get 1 break and lunch, that you can put together if you want to.
As for weekends, I rarely got a whole weekend off unless I asked for it in advance, but on the other hand, I rarely worked both days in the weekend. I got Sundays off more than Saturdays.
But on the flip side, I never worked beyond 5pm. I told them on the application and in the interview that I didn't work nights and that was acceptable to them. So I really didn't think I should complain about not having a complete weekend off :)
I guess it is up to the manager how things are done in the different stores. Hope this helps.
: I would just like to know. How long are all of you given for your breaks? At my store were given 30 min thats all, but a good friend of mine in another state gets 30 min and two 15min breaks, and she said some places get full hour breaks? is this true? and since you are here. For full time booksellers, How many weekends a month are you given off? How do some of you have your days off? I would just love to know how it wall works around the county?
: Thanks
