I can tell you one thing. If you store looses the points because you dont offer it to a secrect shopper. You will be more than warned. Store managers and Assistants as well as Department managers, raises and bonuses all depend on those shops as well as Readers Advantage sales. Barnes&Noble big wigs are to blame about us having to ask everyone. Your in store managers are not. Just put yourself in there shoes, if you had money on the line wouldnt you be making your employees ask everyone? I know I would! (and DO) The managers are just as unhappy about this program as everyone. It really sucks. but Its here to stay. It makes Barnes&Noble LOTS and LOTS of money for nothing! But just know. Its part of the job. If you dont like that then move on. Retail jobs are a dime a dozen. Maybe you should look into borders they dont have a card and they can wear jeans to work.. but oh yeah they start booksellers at $5.15 an hour.
