Glen my brother let this go...unless your a minority and you feel you were passed over for that reason. Managers can and do promote people they feel good about, people that respect them and will fit in with the rest of the team. Even if you were qualified for the promotion the crm position involes a lot of one on one and as a crm some decisions if not most are subject to the managers approval. If for whatever reason the manager felt that the two of you might not be able to work together then I am sure they would choose someone else. It just may boil down to chemisty. I am sure you will or am successful in other endevours this one was not ment to be. Good luck.
